Multiplatinum and GRAMMY Award winning hip-hop artist, LL COOL J, today announced the launch of the first phase of the Boomdizzle’s Virtual Recording Studio. Boomdizzle was co-founded by LLCOOLJ, who also currently stars in the hit CBS show “NCIS: Los Angeles,” in 2008 as an online community designed for all aspiring artists of all kinds to record, share, and remix original music and video content.

This patented new Virtual Recording Studio provides the digital production, mixing, and sound tools for artists from anywhere in the world to collaborate online and create music in real-time together.

Boomdizzle is partnering with Dolby at CES 2012 to bring the industry’s most elite sound engineering and Dolby technology-enabled products together with this revolutionary technology.

“Boomdizzle is all about collaboration and bringing artists and fans together to foster creativity and innovation,” says LL COOL J, entertainment icon and co-founder of Boomdizzle Networks. “The industry has completely changed since I first start recording music. The next great artists of the future are out there all over the world and I am excited that Boomdizzle’s Virtual Studio can help them collaborate and bring their music to everyone.”

For the first time ever, LL COOL J will demonstrate Boomdizzle’s Virtual Studio technology by recording his new song “No More” in real-time on Tuesday, January 10th at 2:00 pm at CES 2012 on the CNET stage (LVCC, South Hall 3, Upper Level Lobby) in Las Vegas, NV, while his GRAMMY Award winning engineer, Glen Marchese, will be in New York, NY. Dolby will be providing technical assistance for the real-time demonstration along with a Dolby technology-enabled laptop to ensure the track he creates is played back with the true intention of how it was recorded using the Boomdizzle Virtual Recording Studio.

This real-time demonstration will be followed by an exclusive press conference with LL COOL J in the Dolby booth Sky Deck to share the latest news about Boomdizzle.com and conduct a Q&A session with media. In addition, LL COOL J will make an appearance at the Dolby Booth (Central Hall - #8153) on Tuesday, January 10th at 4:00 pm to demo a track he created using the Boomdizzle Virtual Recording Studio, playing it back on a Dolby technology-enabled laptop to a full home-theater surround sound system.

“As a leader in delivering premium quality audio its Dolby’s role to ensure that the playback experience meets the standards of artists like LL COOL J who work hard to give their fans the best experience possible," said Ramzi Haidamus, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Dolby. "Whether he is on stage, on TV or in the recording studio producing Grammy Award winning material, LL COOL J is an amazing entertainer who understands the importance audio quality plays in every medium. Sharing in his passion for great audio, Dolby is honored that LL COOL J chose Dolby to partner with Boomdizzle at CES."

The initial launch of the Boomdizzle Virtual Studio will be an invitation-only opportunity for artists to access the Studio, as well as have the opportunity to interact with celebrity artists and producers.
