PRINCE REVEALS HE WILL RELEASE TWO NEW ALBUMS IN SEPTEMBER |

After teasing yesterday that a "major announcement" was on its way, Prince has revealed details of not one, but two forthcoming albums.
The first, Plectrum Electrum, has been in the pipeline since the start of the year when the singer held a press conference at Lianna La Havas' house and performed a series of guerilla-style surprise gigs in London.
Prince has now revealed that not only will Plectrum Electrum be out in September, but it will be released alongside another full-length album, Art Official Age - this one without the help of his band 3RDEYEGIRL.
The album will feature 13 songs, one of which, 'Breakdown', has already been revealed, and is available to pre-order already.
Both Plectrum Electrum and Art Official Age are set for release on 29 September. The full tracklist for Art Official Age is below.

Gunshots rang out at a pre-Video Music Awards party hosted by Chris Brown and singer Pia Mia in West Hollywood in the early morning hours on Sunday.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, a shooting occurred at 1OAK nightclub in the 9000 block of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood where two men and a woman were wounded, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said in a statement provided to the Daily News.
The suspect remains unknown, but the victims include a 49-year-old male, widely reported as music producer Marion (Suge) Knight, as well as two unnamed victims, a 32-year-old male and a 19-year-old female. All the victims were transported to local hospitals and are expected to recover.
While the 25-year-old R&B singer is said to have been the intended target, it was Knight who took
the heat along with the two other victim,

"Sideways" star Paul Giamatti has given F. Gary Gray's N.W.A. biopic some real star power after signing on to playmusic mogul Jerry Heller in the film.
Heller, who represented Elton John, Pink Floyd and Journey, managed the rap act that featured Ice Cube and Dr. Dre.
He also founded Ruthless Records with N.W.A. star Eazy-E.
Giamatti joins producer Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. who will portray his dad in the movie, Straight Outta Compton, and other actors including Jason Mitchell and Corey Hawkins.
It's not the first time he'll play a ruthless music boss on the big screen - he portrayed Tom Cruise's slippery manager Paul Gill in "Rock of Ages."

A week after 18-year-old Michael Brown was fatally shot by Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson, people across the country are demanding justice, including a multitude of entertainers and other public figures. Roc Nation artist J. Cole is the latest to add his voice with a new track titled, "Be Free."
Backed by a news report with a sound bite from Dorian Johnson, Brown's friend and eyewitness to the shooting, the piano-driven ballad demands peace and calls for an end to gun violence.
In a statement, the 29-year-old Cole said he is "tired of being desensitized to the murder of black men."
There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Every chance I got I was screaming about it. I was younger. It's so easy to try to save the world when you're in college. You got nothing but time and no responsibility. But soon life hits you. No more dorms, no more meal plan, no more refund check. Nigga need a job. Nigga got rent. Got car note. Cable bill. Girlfriend moves in and becomes wife. Baby on the way. Career advances. Instagram is poppin. Lebron leaves Miami. LIFE HITS. We become distracted. We become numb. I became numb. But not anymore. Straight Outta Compton' Gang-Style Shooting Was No Stunt |

 The N.W.A. flick "Straight Outta Compton" just got christened with a drive-by shooting ... right in front of the movie crew.
Eyewitnesses tell TMZ ... the gunfire erupted outside the Compton Courthouse last week when some neighborhood guys, not actors, flashed gang signs at a passing car.
We're told the gunmen were NOT targeting the crew -- but since they were setting up outside the courthouse the bullets came dangerously close. One nearby civilian was hit, and collapsed next to the set ... but survived.
The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. tells us the shooting is under investigation. They have not yet determined if it was gang-related.
We're told filming will continue this week in a rough area of Compton ... even though many members of the cast and crew are shaken, and worried about their safety.
