According to UNICEF, since 1990:

- Two million children have been killed in armed conflicts

- More than six million children have been disabled

- 20 million children have been left homeless

- Right now 300,000 children below the age of 18 participate in armed conflicts in more than thirty different countries

Waxploitation Music Corp has announced the launch of a full time charitable division to handle year-round charity work on behalf of children who are victims of genocide worldwide.

Waxploitation recently donated $10,000 to UNICEF and the UN Refugee Agency to aid in urgent relief efforts in Sudan where "an ethnic-cleansing campaign has left up to 300,000 dead and 2 million villagers displaced" (New York Times 3/24/05). The money donated was raised by an auction of over 300 items donated by renowned artists including: Dave Matthews, rap artist Beastie Boys, Dixie Chicks, System of a Down, Norah Jones, Wilco, Avril Lavigne, Korn, Jurassic 5, Bad Religion, Patti Smith, Will Oldham, Powerman 5000, Sage Francis, Atmosphere, Rise Against and The Donnas, just to name a few.

Waxploitation first began to focus on anti-genocide charity work in 2004 with the release of its non-profit Genocide in Sudan compilation CD which featured music by Gorillaz, Yoko Ono, Danger Mouse & Murs, System of a Down, Jill Scott, Thievery Corporation, DJ Spooky & Lee 'scratch'' Perry, and Teargas & Plateglass amongst many other socially conscious artists.

"Our hope is that we can create real opportunities for people who''d like to be more active in this cause. Waxploitation is setting up simple, but very effective programs which will make a tangible difference for children whose lives have been traumatized by genocide." says Jeff Antebi, founder of Waxploitation. "It's all about realistic expectations, and the constant reminder of the importance of these kinds of efforts."

Waxploitation is currently focusing its efforts on awareness of situations in Sudan, Chechnya, Liberia and Ethiopia.

Waxploitation Music Corp is the home for vital next generation artists including Danger Mouse, Tweaker, Danger Doom (MF Doom/Danger Mouse) Dopestyle 1231, the new Cee-Lo / Danger Mouse collab project and Teargas & Plateglass as well hip-hop legends Tha Alkaholiks and KutMasta Kurt. Waxploitation began in 1995 with the release of the acclaimed Strictly Ballroom CD, the first band of the Postal Service's Jimmy Tamborello. In the last decade, Waxploitation artists have included Digable Planet's King Britt, Peanut Butter Wolf, Ministry's Al Jourgensen, Josh Wink, Butthole Surfer's Paul Leary, Dust Brothers founder Matt Dike and more.
