There is no argument that Death Row Records helped put the west coast hip-hop and rap sound on the map.

Around 1991 Marion ‘Suge’ Knight vowed to make the Row “ The Motown of the 90’s”, and it is apparent he did just that.

He secured a distribution deal with Interscope, and Dre's solo debut, The Chronic, became one of the biggest-selling and most influential rap albums of all time. It also made a star of Dre's friend, Snoop Doggy Dogg, whose debut album, Doggystyle, was another hit. As Dre's signature G-funk production style took over hip-hop, Death Row became a reliable brand name for gangsta rap fans, and even its lesser releases sold consistently well.

Suge Knight’s label, Death Row Records, made millions in record sales. Some 40 million units were sold during the ‘90s alone, and all of its first six releases produced double-platinum selling albums.

Tupac brought Death Row to the highest plane of all the artist. His work ethic and multi platinum record sales made him one of Tha Rows most valued artist.

November 22nd Death Row/Koch will reissue a few of the most famous hip-hop / rap albums to come out of Death Row Records.

The albums will be reissued as DualDiscs and will include videos from those records. Adding the videos to the reissued albums will truly make these albums a must have for all Death Row fans and all west coast hip-hop and rap, and gangsta rap music fans.

The Death Row albums scheduled for reissue thru Death Row/Koch are

‘The Very Best Of Death Row’, originally issued in 2005.

Dr. Dre’s 1992 solo debut – ‘The Chronic’.

Snoop Doggy Dogg’s 1993 release – ‘Doggystyle’.

And two of the late west coast rap icon Tupac Shakur's best albums, both released in 1996:

2Pac’s ‘All Eyez On Me’, and the ‘Makaveli – The 7 Day Theory’ album.
