TLA Promotions Press Release / Bay Area Rap Boss Celly Cel grew up in the Bay Area in Vallejo, CA, the same hood as other legendary figures in hip-hop culture such as rap artists Mac Dre and E-40.

Celly Cel released his first single on his independent record label Realside Records in 1992 called "Lifestyle of A Mack".

Longevity in the hip-hop and rap music business is not an easy thing to attain. You can not buy the fans love for you like you can radio air play or media coverage.

Celly Cel has maintained his position in Hip-Hop Culture because he is known by his fans for ‘keeping it real’. He speaks from the streets and has great appreciation for his fans and his fans world-wide know and respect him for that.

ThugLifeArmy.com sat down with Celly Cel in an exclusive on-line interview to discuss Celly Cel’s recent 6th solo album release titled ‘Slaps, Straps & Baseball Hats’, the mood in the Bay Area now and of course the west coast hip-hop ‘Hyphy Movement’.
