"Peace in the Streets is coming to a ''hood near you!" Next Saturday, July 26 at 12 PM at Funky Fresh Records, 74 Warren Street in Dudley Square. Come mix and mingle with the artists, their fans and the media. There are over 65 Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Reggae, Rock & Roll and Spoken Word artists involved in this project. You will be able to pick up your copy of the ''Peace in the Streets'' double compilation CD for only $10. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute's Burial Fund and youth programming in Boston. The first 100 sales on Saturday will go to Miss Jaye, one of the managers of the dance troupe Enmotion, who lost both her husband and her son to murder. We want to help her to finally get a headstone to bury them properly.

Also, be sure to save the date for the Record Release Party on August 1st the day before the Motorcycle Ride for Peace at 11 AM at the Roxbury Boys & Girls Club and City Hall Hip Hop Festival at 4 PM

In correlation with the CD release will be a PEACE IN THE STREETS TOUR. The tour will feature artists from the Compilation in rotation over the coming months. The tour will visit performance venues, community events, churches, and schools in multiple cities. The tour brings an added level of connectivity and inspiration against community violence, and showcases positive alternatives in Hip Hop and culture.
