Hip Hop female rap artist Remy Ma, aka Remy Smith, has been found guilty by a New York Superior Court jury of the shooting a woman outside a New York nightclub last year. The hip hop diva admitted pulling the trigger and causing serious injury to Makeda Barnes-Joseph during a July 2007 dispute over money but the gun discharged on accident during her trial. The female hip hop star now faces a minimum of five years in prison when she is sentenced. No sentencing date was given. These convictions mean she could be sentenced to up to 25 years in jail. |
