Barbados born Joseph "Biggie Grand" Saddler, better known as Grandmaster Flash is set to become the latest hip hop star to release a memoir.

The legendary hip hop DJ has teamed up with author David Ritz to write The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash: My Life, My Beats, which will chronicle his rise to fame with hip hop group the Furious Five as well as his battle with cocaine addiction.

The book on the hip hop legend is scheduled to hit shelves in the U.S. on 10 June (08) under Broadway Books imprint Harlem Moon Books according to the hip hop legends web site at http://www.grandmasterflash.com .
