There is much talk among music industry insiders in reference to the bidding war that seems to be getting ready to take place for the assets of the legendary hip hop / rap label Death Row Records; Marion ‘Suge’ Knight CEO.

Warner Music Group placed a bid for $25 million for the assets with the bankruptcy trustee this week. Koch Music is expected to be an active bidder as well.

The Co-CEO of EverGreen Copyrights David Schulhof has announced thru Billboard.biz that EverGreen Copyrights is bidding on the assets of the legendary hip hop / rap label Death Row Records, which are currently in bankruptcy.

EverGreen Copyrights is the music publisher who holds rights in the writer's share of songs composed by the hip hop icon Tupac Shakur (2Pac).

Among the assets are both master recordings and compositions -- including previously unreleased recordings.

The deadline for bids is April.

Who ever ends up with the music of the legendary hip hop icon Tupac (2Pac), will still need to seek approval rights for future uses of Tupac Shakur's (2Pac) works through EverGreen Copyrights and Tupac Shakur's heir.

In May of 2007 Tupac’s mother Afeni Shakur said in her announcement a partnership with David Schulhof, co-CEO of EverGreen Copyrights (EverGreen) about her sons music “"I believe that after 10 years I have done as much as I can on my own to further the creative aspect of Tupac's (2Pac) music. I''m looking forward to working with EverGreen's publishing and creative marketing teams to reach a more global market and to expand the opportunities for my son's music,"
