New Jersey Assembly Speaker Albio Sires on Monday announced that NJ State Officials will meet in Miami with Cuban-Americans and Florida's attorney general to discuss how to capture a woman who murdered a state trooper and fled to Cuba.

Sires, D-Hudson, said the meeting Tuesday about fugitive Joanne Chesimard, aka Assata Shakur, godmother to slain hip-hop rap icon Tupac Shakur; will include New Jersey Attorney General Peter Harvey and state police Superintendent Col. Rick Fuentes.

State police earlier this month upped the bounty for Chesimard's capture to $1 million. (See ‘$1 Mill Reward For Late Rap Artists Godmother’ and ‘Rap Icons Godmothers New Poster & News’)

Joanne Chesimard aka Assata Shakur, was convicted of the 1973 murder of Trooper Werner Foerster, but she escaped to Cuba and was granted political asylum after three gunmen busted her out of what was then the Clinton Correctional Institution for Women in Hunterdon County in 1979.

Garden State officials have failed to convince Cuba to hand over Chesimard, 57, who goes by the name Assata Shakur. (See ''
