Hip Hop Rap Label Death Row Records Catalog Sells for 18 Million Print

Marion ‘Suge’ Knights’ famous Hip Hop / Rap label, Death Row Records, had its catalog auctioned off yesterday (Thursday Jan. 15th ) for 18 Million Dollars. The catalog contains music from such artists as Tupac Shakur (2Pac), Michel’le, Kurrupt, Magoo, Li’l Jon, Danny Boy, Petey Pablo and snoop dogg. This catalog also contains many unreleased tracks by these artists.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles said the winning bid for hip hop entrepreneur and founder of Death Row Records Marion ‘Suge’ Knight’s former label was placed by a Canadian-based company called Wide Awake Holdings.

So what is next for Marion ‘Suge’ Knights Death Row Records? Well a public auction is planned for January 25 at 11 AM in Fullerton, CA., where fans can bid to own a piece of hip hop history from one of the greatest periods in hip hop. Inspection of these items up for auction will be available Friday January 23rd from 10 AM to 3 PM at 1930 W. MALVERN AVE., FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA (MAP)
