A new book on hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur (2Pac) is shipping and will be released August 16th. The book Tupac Shakur Legacy by Jamal Joseph is truly a work of art within itself, If you are a fan of the late hip-hop rap icon this is a must have.

The hardback book is 64 pages and is an illustrated and interactive biography of the legendary hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur (2Pac).

The book features rare family photos, reproductions of song lyrics and poems handwritten by the hip-hop rap icon, other memorabilia, and personal papers of the hip-hop icon. It has approximately 20 removable mementos relating to the legendary hip-hop icon.

Also included, an hour-long interview CD, all tucked in a paper-over-board slipcase. "Tupac Shakur: Life Through My Eyes" begins where Tupac's life did, in the middle of the chaos that surrounded his mother, Black Panther Afeni Shakur, and her involvement in the Panther 21 case.

Nearly born in jail, Tupac (2Pac) came into the world just a month after his mother Afeni was acquitted. From this chaotic beginning, the story follows Tupac's life, from his early childhood in Harlem and the Bronx to his emergence as a young artist at Baltimore School for the Arts and his eventual rise to one of the bestselling hip-hop rap artists of all time.

Informed by Tupac's own words, set off by intimate stories and quotes from his mother Afeni Shakur and others who were close to him, and illustrated with never-before-seen, removable reproductions of personal items, Tupac's roots and influences, his beliefs, creative process, tireless work habits, and aspirations will emerge, giving readers a sense of who he was on a personal level.

I have been blessed to receive an advance copy of this masterful work and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this work. If you are a fan or just want to know more about the late rap figure and the things that make him an icon in hip-hop history this is a must have. This is just one in a list of ongoing projects put forth this year by Amaru in the spirit of keeping Tupac's legacy alive. Watch for the new Tupac (2Pac) album to be released in November.

Tupac Shakur Legacy by Jamal Joseph will be released August 16th.
