Yolanda Adams embarks on a national church tour with fellow Grammy nominee, newcomer J. Moss, and hip-hop violinists Nuttin But Stringz. Adams and company will kick off "Yolanda Today" with a special benefit concert for survivors of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana's capital city, Baton Rouge on Jan. 10, 2006; and have dates scheduled nationally through late February.

Adams will perform many of her classic tunes on "Yolanda Today," in addition to new music from her latest CD, "Day By Day," released by Atlantic Records on Aug. 30, 2005. Adam's number one hit "Be Blessed" was the most played single for numerous weeks at gospel radio and the second single, "Someone Watching Over You," was one the most added records at urban adult contemporary radio this fall.  Adams'' performed her newest single, the infectious "Victory," in the Screen Gems'' film ''The Gospel;'' during an appearance on the BET 25th Anniversary Show; and for the "Make a Difference Toyota Concert" series on the plaza for NBC's ''Today Show.''

Also onboard for "Yolanda Today" is multiple Grammy nominee J. Moss. His debut album, ''The J.Moss Project,'' has earned rave reviews and a Stellar Award nomination for Best New Artist. "Yolanda Today" will also introduce Nuttin But Stringz, two brothers, Damien and Tourie Escobar, who fuse classical and urban music with violins.

Sponsored by Comcast and Southwest Airlines, "Yolanda Today" is scheduled for more than 25 cities, including Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago, Baltimore and Detroit.  For a detailed tour lineup on "Yolanda Today" visit www.YolandaAdams.org  or www.alwe.com .

Yolanda Adams released her debut album "Just As I Am" in 1988.  She's since released ten additional solo CDs including, "Through The Storm," "Save The World," "More Than a Melody" and "Songs From the Heart."  Adams was nominated for a Grammy in 1996 for "Yolanda Live In Washington" and actually one a Grammy in 1999 for her multi-platinum Elektra Records debut, "Mountain High...Valley Low."  She released "Christmas with Yolanda Adams" in 2000, followed by the gold-certified "Experience" in 2001.  The former school teacher has also appeared on CDs by hip-hop’s female rap artrist Missy Elliott, and also CD’s with Kirk Franklin, Kenny G, Iyanla Vanzant, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Whalum, Karen Clark-Sheard, Steve Harvey and Everette Harp, among others.
