IKAM Productions will present its second run of the 1975 award-winning unique nominated stage play by Ntozake Shange, FOR COLORED GIRLS WHO CONSIDERED SUICIDE WHEN THE RAINBOW IS ENUF on Friday August 22 – Sunday, September 7 at midtown’s The 14th Street Playhouse - 173 14th Street Atlanta GA 30309.

Directed and choreographed by beautiful pop iconic performer, Jasmine Guy, the production marks the actress’ directorial debut.

The Fall 2008 production includes cast members Crystal Fox, Terry Burrell, Nevaina Rhodes, Yakini Horn, and Danielle Deadwyler.  With each cast member symbolized by a rainbow of colors, the play recounts the history and struggles of African-American women in the United States through a series of twenty choreographed poetic vignettes relating to mature audiences.

"I am excited to be coming home for yet another transition in my career," Guy states. "This play means so much too so many people and it is a piece that truly speaks to me – on various levels."
