"I have dreamed all of my life of creating a place to share, teach and inspire people to be their best and pursue their dreams." - Muhammad Ali

Fans are invited to help celebrate the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali by sending him a personal message during his January 17th, 65th birthday until the launch of Black History Month 2007 at the end of the month. Participants are also encouraged to contribute, in Muhammad's honor, a donation to the new Muhammad Ali Center in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. As a non-profit organization, the Muhammad Ali Center depends on the support of people all over the world to help fulfill Muhammad's dream.

Born Cassius Marcellus Clay in Louisville, Kentucky in 1942, Ali's story is one of inspiration: champion athlete, media icon, societal symbol, United Nations Messenger of Peace, and a beacon of hope to people around the globe for over four decades. Now fans have a golden opportunity to express to Muhammad some of the motivation, joy, and magic he has given them over the years.

Fans can use the form provided on the Ali Center's website, www.alicenter.org to submit their personal message. All birthday wishes will be compiled into a gift collection for Muhammad. Some of the messages will be posted on the Center's website. To a man who has lived a great life and given back so much to the world, nothing would mean more to Muhammad than to receive a personal heartfelt message - on this milestone birthday - from his fans around the world.

Serving as an international education and cultural center that is inspired by the ideals of its visionary founder Muhammad Ali, the Muhammad Ali Center is a place to explore the greatness that lies within us all and find the inspiration to pursue our greatest potential.  The Ali Center's innovative and immersive visitor experience, public programming, and global initiatives carry on Muhammad's legacy and continue his life's work.

Much more than a place that tells the story of one man's journey, the Ali Center reaches beyond its physical walls to promote respect, hope and understanding and to inspire children and adults everywhere to be as great as they can be.

Members of the Muhammad Ali Center advisory council include poet Dr. Maya Angelou, legendary music producer Quincy Jones, actress Angelina Jolie, rock star Bono, and talk show host Tavis Smiley among others. His Holiness, The Dalai Lama of Tibet, is also a Most Distinguished Lifetime Councilor of the Muhammad Ali Center.
