Hip-Hip rap artist Obie Trice, the second rap artist who signed to rap artist Eminem's hip-hop based 'Shady Records' after the hip-hop group D-12, was shot early Saturday morning while driving on a Michigan highway, according to Michigan State Police.
Obie Trice (real name Obie Trice III) and his girlfriend , according to Michigan State Police Sgt. Mario Gonzales, were on the freeway at about 1:00 A.M., when another car started shooting at him.
The rapper and his girlfriend managed to keep driving and exited the freeway near the suburb of Southfield; where his girlfriend managed to hail a police officer.
The Detroit rap artist was taken to Providence Hospital in Southfield, and is listed in good condition, Gonzales said.
His girlfriend, who was not identified, was not injured.
