1st Annual Stanley Tookie Williams Worldwide Redemption Day

On Thursday, December 29, 2005, Stanley Tookie Williams would have been 52 years old, had the state of California and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger not killed him. Despite their efforts, they were unsuccessful in killing his spirit and legacy.

 

Thursday, December 29, 2005 marks the 1st Annual Stanley Tookie Williams Worldwide Redemption Day, Candlelight Vigil and Rally to be held on the West steps of the State Capitol from 4pm to 6pm.

 

Beginning December 29th, supporters of Stanley Tookie Williams will over the course of the next weeks and months host numerous events to continue the fight to prove Stanley’s innocence, anchor his redemptive legacy and continue his work to save youth from lives of crime and violence.

WHEN:                  Thursday, December 29, 2005, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Supporters are encouraged to host candlelight vigils in their cities across the nation and around the world in honor of the First Annual Stanley Tookie Williams Worldwide Redemption Day.  Email info@savetookie.org to post your event on www.savetookie.org.   Contributions are welcomed to support Stan's legacy to end violence and save our youth.

Many rallies and protests were held by and or attended by hip-hop grass roots activist, many influential hip-hop and rap artists, religious leaders, politicians, Hollywood notables, death penalty opponents and many from every walk of life spoke up for Stanley Tookie Williams, but the peoples pleas for clemency fell on deaf ears.

 

We must keep the memory of Stanley Tookie Williams and his work alive. Show your support, let your voice be heard.
