German-American online music company Block Starz Music LLC, has moved the release of its long-awaited Down South Block Starz compilation to February.

The 12-track online digital release will be available from Block Starz Music for download on iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody on Tuesday, February 1st, 2012 and will contain original music tracks by various new independent Hip-Hop artists and producers from the southern United States.

Label executives, who originally announced the album would be released before Thanksgiving 2011, say they received several exciting last minute submissions that pushed the project's release date into the new year.

"The south is an extremely important market," says Block Starz president Bayer Mack. "We wanted to make sure we represented the region's culture properly and I believe we've accomplished that with this project."

Mixed by North Carolina impresario Mic Savvy (Savvy Labs), Down South Block Starz will including sizzling contributions Delwin The Krazyman (Baton Rouge, LA), Ariginal (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Crown Caesar (Raleigh, NC), Southern Dynasty (New Orleans, LA), Bettie Grind (Charlotte, NC), Loced Out Ent (Hazel Green, AL), Junnie Mac (Richmond, VA), Allen Forrest (Fort Campbell, KY), and J.R. Bricks (Atlanta, GA).
