Internationally Acclaimed Human Rights Activist and author of "Quitting America, a Black Man Leaves his Native Land," founder and former president of TransAfrica and foreign policy advocate will speak at Sojorner-Douglass College on Saturday, April 16, 2005.

While president of TransAfrica, he spearheaded the US campaign to end apartheid in South Africa. His leadership in support of the pro-democracy movement in Haiti - which included a 27 day hunger strike - also caused the United States Government to lead the 1994 multinational effort to return to power Haiti's first democratically elected - but violently overthrown - government.

This event will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2005. The symposium will be from 3:00pm - 7:00pm on the campus of Sojourner - Douglass College in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Robinson will discuss the continuing lack of Black Leadership in America and how this has devastated African Americans domestically and globally.
