Looks like Wu-Tang Clan's ODB will join the list of departed rappers that will be releasing new albums. An album featuring 15 new songs by rapper O.D.B. is slated to hit stores in January, less than two months after his death.

ODB’s mother Cherry Jones, and his manager, Jarred Weisfeld, announced Tuesday they were creating JC Records (Jarred Cherry Records) to release "Osirus," titled for one of ODB’s many nicknames.

O.D.B. — whose real name was Russell Jones — died last month in a Manhattan recording studio, two days before his 36th birthday. ODB, a member of the rap group Wu-Tang Clan, and was known for hits such as "Got Your Money," but also for his numerous brushes with the law and his drug problems.

"Osirus" is slated for a Jan. 4th,2005 release.

O.D.B. had also been working on an album for Roc-A-Fella Records; A representative for Roc-A-Fella said Tuesday it would be released early next year.

JC Records plans another album release in March featuring artists associated with O.D.B., and there are other projects in the works, manager Jarred Weisfeld said.

"Dirty's legacy will continue though this album, his music, his DVD and his clothing line for all eternity," Weisfeld said in his statement.
